With less than two weeks left before the kickoff of the 2009 Supercross series in Anaheim, CA, Vans caught up with none other than Ryan Villopoto at the tail end of a long testing session aboard his new ride! Villopoto is set to make his 450cc debut at Anaheim, so after coercing him into spinning a few extra laps for our cameras before unstrapping his helmet for the day, we sat down to get the scoop on his progress aboard the new machine? Enjoy!

Surfline Photo Challenge Winner Shoots North Shore

As part of Vans' sponsorship of Surfline's 2008 Photo Challenge, one lucky winner received a free trip to the North Shore to check out the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. New York's Chris Cordone took top honors and was flown out to Oahu where he shot some more photos to add to his portfolio. Take a look!

Vans Mini Cup Coming To Loon Mountain January 10th

Join Vans and Eastern Boarder Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire for the second stop of the Vans Mini Cup, a new series of three rail jams going down around the country this winter. The event kicks off at 11:00 am and will feature an open jam session, narrowing down to a 10-man final judged by Vans Snow team riders Darrell Mathes and Scotty Arnold along with team manager Doran Laybourn. The winner will score an all-expense-paid trip to the Vans Cup at Mammoth and a slot in the event's invite-only rail jam. Cash prizes of $500, $300 and $150 will also be handed out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both the men's and women's 16 and over divisions.

Starting January 1, 2009 all riders that have previously had a waiver on file at either Vans Skatepark (Orlando, FL & Orange, CA) will need to update their waiver. If you update your waiver by April 1, 2009 you will receive a free day pass voucher that can be used any day in 2009! The offer only applies to riders that have previously had a waiver on file.
